Mindfulness for NGOs

Supporting aid workers’ wellbeing

In 2011 I started Mindfulness for NGOs in partnership with the Oxford Mindfulness Centre (Oxford University) to bring the art and science of stress reduction and burnout prevention to aid workers back home and in the field.

Bringing together research and practice in support of aid workers’ mental health, I spent two years in Palestine coaching aid workers and teaching mindfulness to frontline staff. In 2013 the lessons learned in the field led me to launch Mindfulnext.org focusing on stress reduction and burnout prevention in the aid sector
